Ok, I did this on friday at the McDonalds on 60th and siver spring, just thought I say I did it when I would more likly have people come to Mcdonalds sice it was black friday. First off, I always had hated McDonalds food, it just disgusts me, there are just no nutrients in their food, also fast food resturants has been keeping America and the world obese more then ever. I just choose Mcdonalds because its the most common fast food resturant known. I don't see why people neglect their health by going to McDonalds. So I beleive that if I could organize flyers to hand out for the first 100 people that come in to McDonalds, maybe they would change their minds and eat something much more healthy.
So, then, it wasn't fun standing outside but it was the only way to get people's attension, trying to change their minds about the food they are eating at fast food resturants. what was on the flyers were information about the amount of calories they were eating. For example, I got one person to go eat somewhere else because I told him that a Big Mac is 600 calories, and he was going to have two! I also learned that a 1/4 with chees is 530, which convince me never to eat at Mcdonalds again. Anyway there was a list that explain some food items at Mcdonalds of how much saturated fat there is, and how could increase the chances of an heart attack because of clogged artierys.
Also on the flyer was a before and after picture Morgan Spurlock when he did that movie of Super size me, I thought that had helped a lot because most people were disgusted by the way he looked after 30 days of just eating big mac, fries, etc. I believe this had what got people most people toturn around and go to eat something more healthy, or I hope.
I was actually kind of surpise that some people took notice of me and turned around, but if they decided to go in anyway, I think I did all I could of done. People in the drive thru were easy to get, cuz they couldn't walk away from me, lol, but I do remember this one old lady that was went somewhere else because she read the part where it could increase the chance of having a heart attack, she took off. I thought I spend time well earned there, idk.
I actually felt pretty good after doing this, even though some people just disz me and just walked in, ha. I wonder if I should of persuade them and stop, but I thought that they already made up their mind, hmph. Things I do differently...well, I like to try different resturants, see if I got a different response, or show what has happen to people that have eaten Mcdonalds for a week, a year, or even their whole life, see what happens, if you continue to eat their.
I think I help some individuals with eating something more heathly then mcdonalds, which made feel good, but I think I will try something much easier, then doing this in winter... I will advise people to eat at places like subway, or at least not like burger king, or wendys, or whatever. I want people to feel better with their health.

Ok wtf, no one has been posting stuff on Lysistrat, and I thought I was late on this shiz
Umm, yea I read it but....
Could you guys find any symbolsims in this play, how about motifs, dynamic characters, crap. I read this play for enjoyment cuz like in the other plays, it was so boring so it forced us to look at symbolism and all that jazz, but come on, I couln't find anythimg! At least I had enjoyed this play compaered to the other two. I know that women oppression was a theme, so was war and peace, hmm maybe I didn't forget everything about this play.
I certaintily remember the puns, I mean come on, English class isn't suppos to be this funny. (sorry Ms.D if your reading this) Comparing Lysistrata to the other plays made them seem like garbage. This play took me like around 2 hours to complete, but the others like 4 hours just because I had to go back and look for pistols, windows and that other crap. I hope we could have a class discussion on the meaning of all of these puns too, that would be awesome, and the other stuff, just to make sure that I actually read it and not lost, oh well.

How else could Arisrophanes showed female oppression.
He did a good job showing this theme of female oppression, but I felt that he could of done more in this theme. For example, the women could of leave the men until they stoped fighting, or maybe even demanded more rights from the men, to be equal in government. I also think that he should of showed more examples of how the men were feeling about this. That way we could of gotten more laughs. Lysistrata should of got them to sign a peace treaty for like 10 years, that way they will be reminded on why they shouldn't start any wars, although the next generation may forget. These are all the ideas I can come up for now, I'll go back later
Would Lysistrata idea work now?
Before we did a journal on this, I was thinking about it and thought about it for a while cuz I kept changing my opinion. For example, the war with Iraq and the U.S. could of been ended if all of the women on both sides of the war, did abstinence, it might of worked, but it would of been hard for women then are married to husbands that arn't in the war to do this. And times have change were men can go on without sex, and this isn' fair to the troops that are over in Iraq. Also the Iraqians that are in the war may not care. I don't know, I just thought about this before we actually had a journal about it.
Pages 83-90
Hilarious on how Mrrrhine teases Kinesias. She now has all of the cards in her hand because he has to listen to her in order to get what he wants. She keeps on going back to get the most ridiculous thins, and his Kinesias reaction is just priceless, because he starts praying, wondering why on earth does is she doing this to him. Then I like how he says "Relax? I'm dying a slow death by dry goods," cuz he is just desperate at this point, pretty much would do anything. Lysistrata proberly should of ask for more from the men cuz they are just going nuts, based on Kinesias reaction. I lol when Mrrhine offered him perfume, she just wanted to piss him off. I just thought this scene overall was hilararious. It must be funny being in his position but Mrrhine gotta do what she gotta do in order to accomplish peace.
