Which play did you like better, Bernarda or Hedda?
To be honest I wasn't two interested in either play, but if I had to choose one, it would be Bernarda because when reading Hedda, I felt that Ibsen was only writing to show motifs, symbolism, and authority, themes, etc, when in Bernarda, I could picture myself as Adela. I was always questioning my self, what would I do in her shoes, how can I rebel against my own mother. Also, Adella is around our (the class) age, so I guess we could all relate to her. I picture the characters in Hedda were proberly around their 30's, but I really liked the character Hedda, she remined me of judge Judy, lol. She's slways taking control and demanding to get what she wants, but that wasn't enough for me. I felt more into the play Bernarlda then Hedda, what do u think is better?

Interesting, but do you honestly think that Ibsen sat down and wrote this play with the sole intention of putting motifs and symbols everywhere. But I understand-it makes out for a hell of a lot of analysis when you're
writing a commentary. ;D
Wow...... Its hard to believe that you didnt like either one of the plays. I mean yea they were not perfect but they were pretty interesting, especially the House of Bernarda Alba. But its cool how you pictured yourself in Adela's shoes. The only person i could picture myself being is George Tesman just because he is kinda child like. Im like that but in a funny way. He acts that way on purpose!!! LOL
