Could you guys find any symbolsims in this play, how about motifs, dynamic characters, crap. I read this play for enjoyment cuz like in the other plays, it was so boring so it forced us to look at symbolism and all that jazz, but come on, I couln't find anythimg! At least I had enjoyed this play compaered to the other two. I know that women oppression was a theme, so was war and peace, hmm maybe I didn't forget everything about this play.
I certaintily remember the puns, I mean come on, English class isn't suppos to be this funny. (sorry Ms.D if your reading this) Comparing Lysistrata to the other plays made them seem like garbage. This play took me like around 2 hours to complete, but the others like 4 hours just because I had to go back and look for pistols, windows and that other crap. I hope we could have a class discussion on the meaning of all of these puns too, that would be awesome, and the other stuff, just to make sure that I actually read it and not lost, oh well.

Lysistrata no doubt is the best thing we have read this year. It destroys "The House of Bernarda Alba" and "Hedda Gabler." However, there are some good motifs, metaphors, and symbols in the play. I focused on the role of fire and water, one representing the women and the other representing the men. Another thing I found worthy of looking at was the role of household items. From the scene when the women came out with all kinds of stuff to the one with Mrrrhine teasing Kinesias. She brought out all kinds of things.
